The Nail Superstore is the leading distributor of nail products and supplies in the United States, servicing nail techs and salons in North America and around the world. Our success is a direct result of the passion and commitment of owner Kevin Huynh.

    Born in Vietnam, Kevin’s first small-business venture began before he was 12 when he found a way to sell flat tire-patching adhesive to hundreds of bike repair shops on street corners all over Saigon. Kevin eventually left Vietnam and got his start in the nail industry by helping in his parents’ salon in Seattle, WA. Intuitively, he understood the potential of the nail business and recognized a disparity between the needs of the nail techs and the supplies available to them. Kevin realized the industry lacked a supplier who could meet the needs of techs in both the Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese communities.

    In 1995, Kevin moved to Chicago and opened Skyline Beauty Supply. As owner/operated, he provided a central location for the latest products and technology, training tips, and business advice. In 1999, Kevin changed the name to “The Nail Superstore” and launched www.nailsuperstore.com. With the new name and world-wide access, Kevin achieved his core mission to provide a supply source where techs from all backgrounds could find the salon supplies and business tools they need.

    In 2007, The Nail Superstore relocated to a 20,000 square foot distribution center which houses our inventory, a shipping and receiving department, a customer service center, a classroom area, and a staff of professional salon consultants and administrative support. 

    In 2011, The Nail Superstore re-launched a state-of-the-art website in what can only be described as a recalibration of industry standards. Owner Kevin Huynh has morphed Nailsuperstore.com from a one-stop supply destination to a completely interactive, comprehensive collection of the nail and spa supplies, tools, and resources sought out by today’s nail techs and salon owners.

    After more than 15 years in the business, Kevin still has a passion for and a desire to contribute to the nail industry, an industry that has given him and thousands of other Vietnamese immigrants the opportunity to earn a living and become successful in this country.
